Mahaska County Conservation Center

The Conservation Center is located 4 miles north and 1 mile east of Oskaloosa off Highway 63 in the Russell Wildlife Area.  It is the focal point of Mahaska County's conservation activities, housing the Board's administrative office, maintenance shop and nature center.  The nature center contains a variety of hands-on, interactive displays, live exhibits, mineral and fossil specimens, mounted birds, mammals and fish.
