[read more >>]Total Lunar EclipseA total lunar eclipse occurs when the entire Earth’s circular shadow can be seen moving across the glow of the full Moon. The next total lunar eclipse will take place on Tuesday, December 21. The duration of this eclipse is expected to last 3 hours and 29 minutes with the greatest viewing times around 1:00 - 2:00 a.m. MCCB will be hosting a nighttime program about the Moon and eclipses on Monday, December 20, with an eclipse viewing later on at midnight.
